Quiz organised most successfully by Quizmaster Derek Douglas

This meeting was a club-internal quiz night with our very own quizmaster Derek Douglas. Twenty-seven of our members attended and, on this occasion, no guests were present.

The seven quiz groups in the first round answered questions on the Commonwealth Games followed by a round on important women for whom we also assigned the date of birth. The winning team, President Ian Campbell, Secretary Lindsay Craig, Fraser Marshall and Hendrik Nahler scored 36 out of the possible 51 points and were rewarded with a selection of drinks.

Did you know that Eleanor Roosevelt was born one year before Clementine Churchill? Although recently held, do you remember how many medals the Scottish Judo Team won in the XX. CWG? Ans - 13.

The vote of thanks was given by Jim Goodbrand and the raffle was won by President Ian Campbell, yes, his second prize of the night.
