Bob Armour, Dunfermline Golf Club

Tue, Jul 29th 2008 at 12:00 am - 2:00 am

Bob Armour explained that to tell the story of the 121 years of Dunfermline Golf Club would be impossible in just 20 minutes. It would have allowed 10 seconds per year! Instead Bob gave a very educational, enjoyable and informative talk about the Torry Course - one of four used by the club.

President Neil, without the moustache, announced that David Bruce had emergency surgery but is doing well in the Queen Margaret Hospital. Alastair Durkie reported on what apppears to have nbeen as tremendous club barbecue in Charlestown on Sunday. Pictures.

Andrew Gillies announced that the club would meet St Andrews, Perth Kinnoull and Perth St Johns in the Gavel Challenge. Past President Ian Grieve won the wine draw, again!
