SPRING FLYER

Spring is here to cheer our spirits.  A welcomed season of growth and colour in our gardens and in surrounding countryside .There are a number of opportunities in which you can participate and enjoy in our Club's Environment programme .

SCHOOL COMMUNITIES

AHS Eco Warriors.

We are supporting AHS own group promoting awareness and action in their site community:

         Purchase and siting of 2 more coloured bins ( Site Manager I E- Ws )

         E-Ws have designed 2 classroom bin ( approx. 420 on site) labels to help reduce contaminated waste

         Barnwell Print have quoted for production of 1000 such labels

         Eagles Roof top Garden in consultation and planning stage

John 0 Gaunt

         Purchase of Wildflower seeds for School Pond area

         Area to be prepared - lightly forked

         Pupils to sow seed and to design 'scarecrows'

St Michael's

         Plan of  'moving border' designed

         Consultation with specialist Garden Centre re - types of grasses and perennials

         Pupils.to Plant

Colby Primary

         Talk on 'composting in our school' to be arranged and delivered

         Maintenance to support pupils' work

AYLSHAM COMMUNITY

         Aylsham Older Peoples Association

         Purchase 'Old English' lavender bushes for Friendship Hall borders

         Young people - Scouts/ AHS E/Ws to assist planting

PARTNERSHIPS

         Occasional support for and from 'Aylsham in Bloom' and 'Inspired Gardeners'
