Girls Room

Building a Girls' Room in Uganda,

Our Club is part of Rotary International and we take seriously our commitment to help communities all around the world as well as here at home.

Working with the Humphry Davy School Interact Club and using a Rotary Foundation Grant, we raised enough money for a Girls' Room, which has now been built.

It offers a safe place for girls in this remote part of Uganda to go to when they have their periods while at school. Many girls lose out on their education because they are ashamed to be at school when they have their periods, so this is a practical way of helping them.

For more information about our club and what we do, phone John on 07814 920004.
