Mary’s Meals began in 2002 as a one-off school feeding programme. Today we provide daily life changing meals to over 868,000 hungry children.

Mary's Meals is a global movement that establishes school feeding projects for children in some of the poorest communities in the world. Too often hunger and poverty mean that children cannot attend school. Mary's Meals strives to provide a daily meal for children in their school or place of learning which encourages them to attend school.  In this way, they receive nutritious food and receive an education which can help lift them from their poverty.  The founder of Mary's Meals is Magnus McFarlane-Barrow and the vision he has established for Mary's Meals  is that every child receives one daily meal in their place of education and that all those who have more than they need share with those who lack even the most basic things.
