The 11th September was a very pleasant and calm day and it helped to make this a very successful event, enjoyed by all who took part, golfers and helpers. This was the 29th year of the Annual Golf Challenge at Bramshaw Golf Club and attracted 96 golfers in 24 teams, many of them from previous years.
On arrival all competitors were greeted with bacon butties and coffee and a welcome by Ann Calvert who booked them in and later scrutinised and checked their score cards. They also soon met John Robinson who sold them tombola tickets with only virtually no arm twisting - surprisingly easy, helped by the array of nearly 50 prizes. (The tombola raised a brilliant

Supported by New Forest Rotary the Annual Gateway Games at Brockenhurst College attracted over 40 competitors with learning difficulties. Eastleigh won with New Milton 'M Chicks' winning the annual Rotary trophy for team spirit.
