1 Most of the meeting was taken up with a very pleasant reception for the parents of the young participants on the Ocean Trust and RYLA courses with six out of eight parents attending. They were unanimous in their praise of the experience and the growth their children had enjoyed through both challenges.

We were also joined by Caroline and Izzy Palmer, who were able to talk to us about Izzy's remarkable progress as a dressage rider. Thet have promised us a video of one of Izzy's competition rides and to come along to a Tuesday evening meeting to talk to the whole Club.

All the parents were given a short explanation about Rotary and the work of the Club together with written contact details. At the end of the reception at least two parents promised to come along to the next Thursday meeting to talk about the possibility of joining.

2 Philip was also able to brief us informally on the very welcome and promising discussions about Corporate Membership for YBS staff, in the first instance the Yeadon branch. He also reported that Donna Ambler and a colleague Hayley had attended the last Tuesday lunchtime meeting and formed favourable impressions of what the Club did. At that meeting Donna was able to present the Club with a very welcome cheque to support our community charity work on behalf of YBS.

3 The Easter Egg Hunt working party were reminded that there is to be a site visit to Rodley Nature Reserve on Saturday 25 March for more detailed planning.

4 Next meetings 6 and 20 February both from 6.00 p.m. at Horsforth Golf Club.
