Scott McGill, Foodtrain Friends Befriending

Scott updated the Club on the progress with the Foodtrain Friends Befriending network
In the last two years since Scott's last talk the Food Train Friends Befriending service has grown into a highly successful operation. It is well funded from numerous agencies and organisations with a 5 year programme of progressive rollout of the model operation that helps lonely individuals, now, across most of the region.
Against this background Scott ( in a very interesting and inspiring talk ) outlined what local Thornhill people could do to volunteer a couple of hours a week to further that growth in mid and upper Nithsdale.
