MOCK INTERVIEWS

In November we provide "mock interviews" for around 20 pupils ; There are always quite a few aiming for Oxford or Cambridge and usually several heading towards careers in Medicine and Nursing.

A mock interview taking place

The purpose of this activity isto give young people interview practice facing two interviewers they have not met

Our club does this every November for any school expressing and interest by the beginning of the School year

We provide interview practice and offer our comments to interviewee if wanted on their performance --- we do not provide careers advice.

We leave careers advice to the School System but can comment in our own field if the School asks.

Our objective is to boost interviewees self confidence

We normally have an interview of 20 minutes  and some discussion afterwards thus able to talk to four young people in a two hour slot.

We try to match up desired subject of the student to the job/training of at least one interviewer.

We have, over the years, been fortunate in being able to provide medical expertise from a local GP, latterly a member of our Rotary Club, a senior Nurse and a retired, experienced Midwife

We provide practice interviews for young people going towards University, College  or Job. Leave a message on this website  by the beginning of the School year and we will try to help.
