Trina Nunn & Robin Wraight present Jodie Tarbin & Megan Evans with their certificates.

Rotarian Robin Wraight and President of Bury Abbey Rotary Club Trina Nunn presented Certificates of Achievement to Jodie Tarbin and Megan Evans at The Brewery Tap in Bury St Edmunds on 14 October 2013. This follows the completion by Jodie and Megan of the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) earlier this year. Jodie and Megan gave Bury Abbey Rotary Club members an inspirational talk about the communication and problem-solving skills which they had learned whilst working together with many other young people drawn from various backgrounds and communities during their Leadership Development Programme. They told the Rotarians how they had learned to have more confidence in their own abilities and leadership skills, and had taken away a lasting legacy from the Programme which will stand them in good stead in their professional careers.

Jodie is an assistant manager in the tax department at Whiting & Partners and Megan is an accounts senior also working at Whiting & Partners in Bury St Edmunds. Both said they hoped to keep in contact with the others they met on their Programme, and both had many a happy tale to tell of night walks, canoe trips and public speaking.
