Dolphins Presentation 2013

President Peter presents a cheque to the Dolphins for the sum of £300.


Daventry Dolphins Swimming Club

Daventry Dolphins Club President Mrs Lesley Sharp welcomed Mr Peter Montgomery, President of the Danetre Rotary Club to the Daventry Leisure Centre pool recently, where he visited a training session to watch the swimmers put through their paces by Head Coach Rob Sharp. He was mightily impressed with what he saw.

 

However, the main reason for his visit was to Mr Montgomery knew that the Dolphins have been fundraising for a specific project, namely purchasing a portable digital pace clock to aid swimmers who are visually impaired or due to learning difficulties cannot read an analogue style clock.

 

Last autumn, when Mr Montgomery was a special guest at the Clubs Championships, he was so impressed by what he saw and knowing that the Club had this project in mind, he decided he would like to make this very generous donation to the Club from the

more Danetre Rotary Club annually take deserving children to Wickstead Park and this year was no exception. The day is called Kids Out and the Management of Wickstead open the gates to all Rotarians in the District allowing 1700 to enjoy the day.

Climbing Frame for Daventry Hill School
