2013 Greenock RC Disbursement Day

President Ken Melville hosted the representatives of the charities (Scottish Huntingdons Association, Recovery Café, Steadfast Silver Band,Scottish Spina Bifida and Calum's Cabin) which received a disbursement from the Rotary Charity Account.


  • Each year, the members of Greenock Rotary nominate the charities which they consider to deserve the support of the club. On 13th August 2013, 7 invited guests representing 5 charities attended the Greenock Rotary meeting. President Ken Melville reviewed the activities in which Greenock Rotary had participated in the last year before presenting cheques to the representatives.

    Whilst there was a lot of praise for the home baking which was available at the Rotary Coffee Morning, the Guinness Fruit Loaf baked by Rotarian Lynne Chambers,was tremendously popular. Lynne has allowed me to display the recipe which she uses below.
