Duns Rotary Club Charity Golf Competition 2013.

Golf Comp Winners: the Duns Junior Golfers, Greg Patterson, Steven Kerr, Elliott Paxton and Callum Paxton

On 8 August the Rotary Club of Duns welcomed 31 teams of golfers to their Annual Charity Golf Competition at Duns Golf Club, sponsored by main sponsors Playnation and 33 local sponsors.

Each team comprised four players with the best 2 stableford points from each hole contributing to the overall team score. The winning team were the Duns Junior Golfers, Greg Patterson, Steven Kerr, Elliott Paxton and Callum Paxton, who  accumulated an impressive 95 points. Only two points behind were the second-placed Thorburns team of  John Thorburn, Steven Longstaff, Ian Learmounth and Brian Bolton. Also on 93, but with not quite such a good inward nine, were third-placed I.M.W.T. - Dougie Reid, Stevie Turner, Kev Luggett and Graeme Forsthye.

There were also prizes for nearest the pin (Gents - Dougie Reid; Ladies
