Herne & Broomfield Parish Fun Day 18th August 2013

Local community fete held in heart of Herne Village on playing fields - parking at Strode Park opposite.
'On 18th August 2013, the Chestfield Rotary Club manned the Herne & Broomfield Parish Fun Day. At Strode Park, Fiona took the lead and assigned different roles to the Rotarians. Daphne collected the money at the entrance and Fiona directed cars to their parking spaces. Yvette manned the disability car park and made sure it was only made available for disabled people who have come to support the fete. David and Robert maintained car flow. Crisis was averted when Andrew came to the rescue to sort out Fiona's radio. He brought order and calm to the group! Between the 5 Rotarians and Aaron from Strode Park Foundation, the charity car parking was a success. All's well that ends well.'
