Stranraer Mull of Galloway Trail Marathon
This marathon follows the Mull of Galloway Trail with much of the race being off road. It was initiated by Stranraer Rotary Club and once established its organisation was taken over by specialists Acorn Trails - see their website.
The event was badly hit by Covid but it will be resuming.
There is also a shorter course from Sandhead to Stranraer.
The Mull of Galloway Trail is one of the few routes in the country that occur at marathon length, making it an ultimate challenge for many trail runners.
The marathon route starts at the Mull of Galloway lighthouse, the southern most point in Scotland, The 10 mile route starts at Sandhead.'What We Do' Main Pages:
