Blood Pressure Day

It was “Know your blood pressure day” in Newlyn, and we had a steady stream of people coming in to have their blood pressure checked.

Blood Pressure Day

As part of Rotary's national KNOW YOUR BLOOD PRESSURE campaign, along with Rotary Clubs the length and breadth of Great Britain, Mounts Bay Rotary Club annually offers free Blood Pressure checks to members of the public at The Fishermans Mission in Newlyn.

The free checks are carried out by doctors and nurses from the Alverton Surgery and normally attract a steady stream of people.

In the past, checks have revealed that around 20% of people tested required further investigation by their own doctors.
