David Stirk MD of The Creative Whisky Company
Mike Keene introduced David Stirk as this week's speaker. David, who also brought along his business partner Robert Hanley, explained about the place of connoisseur malt whisky in the market place. Their business has moved into Scotland following a change in the law and they have chosen Thornhill, or district, to base their expanding export operation.
He gave an encouraging exposition about the likely market when China opens up further and also about Whisky in Dumfries & Galloway when Annadale Distillery and his own hopes for a micro Distillery in, maybe, Closeburn start production.
Stan Bromilow welcomed the two new residents into our community and thanked our guests for their talk and the exciting prospects that they offer in terms of jobs and enterprise.
