A Planner's Life is Not a Happy One?

Quite Wrong For Janice Kay.
Janice Kay, Senior Planning Manager at DGC gave an illuminating, thought provoking and entertaining talk about the life of a Planning Officer.
Caught between enjoying her job and the continous inability to please all of the people all of the time she explained with the use of disparate and sometimes far located Scottish examples why she is up for the challenge.
By giving the background basis of legislation she explained the approach needed to apply control of unfettered development whilst also needing to create the opportunity for progress in our community.
She ably managed a surprising amount of humour in what could have been a very dry and contentious topic.
