Youth Speaks

Youth Speaks is a public speaking competition, with Rotary Clubs sponsoring teams of three speakers to a district-wide event.  The winners go forward to a regional final and ultimately the national Rotary GB&I Final.

Manchester Breakfast held a local heat at Loreto College in December 2011, with six teams covering topics from slavery, prejudice, and social media to footballers' pay and Santa Claus.   See the following YouTube clip for the highlights of the evening.

Two teams were chosen to proceed to the 2011/12 district event, at Winnington Park Social Club, Northwich on Tuesday 24th January 2012. They performed admirably but sadly did not figure in the top three.
