St. Margaret's scootathon a massive success

more Our first foray into the Scootathon arena failed to ignite but thanks to the initiative of St. Margaret's, Horsforth staff all 440 school pupils earned their very own gold medals. Each pupil completed a triathlon of hula hooping, skipping and scootering.

Gambian adventure for Belle Vue Girls

more Encouraged by their parents a group of pupils from Belle Vue School, Bradford raised individually £800 to make a hands-on visit to a school in Gambia. Ndungu Kebbeh Basic Cycle School suffered from very limited facilities the visit would help improve.

more As usual Aireborough pulled its weight at the 2014 Leeds Technology Tournament serving on the Committee and supplying two judges in Brian Whitham and Barry Wilkinson plus John Knaggs, Brian Waite and Robert Mirfield stewarding the Foundation teams.

Missions accomplished by land and sea

more On Tuesday 26 November at 9.38 p.m. precisely, Hannah Childs and Conner Hulme, both from Horsforth School, Tom Corina from Benton Park and Chris Penny from St. Mary's, Menston completed formally with flying colours the summer challenges given to them.

Young Musicians heat November 2012

more For the third year running the Educational Committee organised a heat for the RIBI Young Musicians annual competition inviting participants from the four local Secondary Schools. Benton Park School was once again the venue.

Meeting the challenge: summer 2013

more For years the Club has supported the Rotary Youth Leadership Award Scheme selecting 2 sixth formers from the four local secondary schools for the Hebden Hey course. This year the Ocean Youth Trust (North) and a sailing ship became a second venture.
