Community Service

.

The Community Service Team is at the core of keeping Rotary local.  Through this Team. we help local charities, businesses and individuals in need in Bishop’s Stortford and the surrounding areas.

  • Every year at Christmas we deliver in excess of 300 food parcels to needy families and the elderly (you will have seen us at the local supermarkets every year).
  • We have arranged for disabled school children at local schools to enjoy a day at the zoo as a part of Rotary Kids Out and the Huw Johnson Club to attend an annual pantomime.
  • We also provide much needed funds to other local charities such as the Isobel and St Clare’s hospices, Bishop’s Stortford KickStart, Riding for the Disabled, St Elizabeth’s and Grove Cottage to name but a few.
  • We also support the local Bishop’s Stortford talking newspaper.
