As well as supporting local charities, we get invloved in projects across our district (Yorkshire & North Lincolnshire) and Internationally.

For many years, Rotary has dedicated itself to ridding the world of Polio.

The Rotary campaign, in partnership with The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, has reduced polio from a wldwide epidemic to just a handful of cases in 3 countries worldwide. We are continuing to strive to prevent polio from becoming reestablished and ensure that no furture generations have to suffer this disease.

In Elland we have raised money for the campaign and planted thousands of purple crocus bulbs to raise awareness of the campaign.
