Home | End Polio Now Campaign | Kilmarnock and District Primary Schools

During the past three months we have been very busy spreading the word about the End Polio Now campaign to all the local Primary School staff, pupils and their parents through talks, literature and involving them in planting some 25,000 purple crocus bulbs which are so symbolic of the Purple Pinkie Power that is used to identify the children who have been inoculated and more importantly, those who have not.

We are very grateful to everyone who has been involved, including East Ayrshire Council and the Kilmarnock Standard, and for the many donations received to help the cause. A selection of photographs will be added here of the 'workers' and later of the crocuses in bloom.
