Regretably, Eddie's cycle ride has been cancelled - end of Day one Telford, not 100% heallthwise and desperate weather conditions have forced decision to cancel the ride meantime. May try again next year.
Eddie Sedgemore, of Marshfield near Bath, is just about to enter his 70th year, and to celebrate he wants to do a bike ride of more than 2011 miles. Two years ago - on a bike - he set a Guinness World Record, and now he aims to break it. In the process, he is riding to raise £10,000 to help get more children to school by bike, through jole rider's bikes4africa programme ......... improving children's access to education.
He arrives in Kilmarnock from Carlisle this Thursday and will address the club, assuming he still has some puff left, on the jole rider and bikes4africa. Tomorrow he's off to Fort William but you can read all about it here.
