On a fine evening last Wednesday, over 100 Senior Citizens from Bridge of Allan and Dunblane were treated to an excellent evening's entertainment at the Queen Victoria School in Dunblane. This is the second year that the event has been held here. Under the watchful eye of Rotarian Jill Adams, who is Head of 6th Form at the school, the pupils, all dressed in full uniform, excelled themselves by providing a piper to welcome the guests on arrival, conducting them to their seats, chatting to them, helping with tea, coffee and biscuits during the interval and also providing some of the entertainment.

Organiser and Chair of the Community and Vocational Service Committee, John Kilby, introduced the Skelpit Lug Ceilidh Band who again performed a wide and varied selection of traditional Scottish music.

After the break for tea, coffee and biscuits, the second half started with an excellent display of the dancing skills of the pupils, much to the delight of the audience, before the band played their final selection and the evening drew to a close.

President Rod Jones thanked the school, especially the pupils, for providing such a memorable experience and Skelpit Lug for their performance but most of all the audience for coming along to enjoy the evening with us.
