NOSTALGIC TRAIN & BOAT TRIP -August 26th 2007

With a whole carriage to ourselves on one of the country's most scenic steam railway journeys all we needed was nice weather... and the sun shone all day long! Our 'Round Robin' trip started at Paignton along the coastal track to Kingswear pulled by the impressive Goliath engine. A pleasant ferry ride to the Dartmouth side of the river and we were able to board the Dart Explorer for an enjoyable cruise up and down the River Dart manoeuvering between a flotilla of regatta boats. Another ferry and return rail journey and we were back to the start all too quickly. A super day and congratulations to John Hill for organising it (have you found the tickets yet John?).
