Esk Valley Give Shelter To Flood Victims In Pakistan

 

Esk Valley Rotary Club has donated two 'ShelterBoxes' to people in Pakistan whose homes have been devastated by floods which have submerged an area bigger than the UK. 

Tens of thousands of families are still in urgent need of food, clean water and shelter in Pakistan's Sindh province.  

Each box supplies an extended family of up to 10 people with a tent and essential equipment including, thermal blankets, insulated groundsheets, tool kit, a wood burning or multi-fuel stove and children's pack to use while they are displaced or homeless. 

 Club spokesperson Elaine Henderson commented: "ShelterBoxes are a way of responding instantly to disasters all around the world, delivering aid as quickly as possible to the people who need it most."
