Shelter Box

.

Included in the international projects supported by our club is funding for the provision of emergency shelter.

ShelterBoxes

When natural or other disasters strike in any part of the world, after the initial response of relief agencies, there is often a need for additional help in the form of tents and sleeping bags to house the victims. ShelterBoxes contain a tent, sleeping bags, tools, cooking equipment and other equipment to help house up to ten people for upwards of six months. The ShelterBox is organised and administered by the Rotary Club of Helston-Lizard and the boxes are held in store for immediate distribution when called for by international aid agencies.

Over the past several years the Rotary Club of Larbert donated a number of ShelterBoxes. These have been  dispatched to areas all round the world hit by disaster.
