Schools Colourful, Edible Garden Project 2006

As part of its community programme, the club engaged with three local primary schools during early 2006 in a "Colourful, Edible Garden Project". Children from the schools grew their own plants and vegetables which were subsequently displayed in Alexandra Park during the weekend of the Carribean Carnival of Manchester in August 2006. The  project was extremely successful and it is hoped that even more schools will take part in a similar event during the summer of 2007.
