North Norfolk Railway - Sheringham

Sat, Jul 24th 2010 at 12:00 am - 2:00 am

Travel by train from Chelmsford at 08.02am changing at Norwich. Then a ride on a steam trains to Holt. Coordinator David Cope

The weather and National Express East Anglia were very kind to us and an excellent day out was enjoyed by a number of members. On arrival at Sheringham we boarded a steam hauled train on the Poppy Line to Holt where follwing a walk into the town from the station, an excellent lunch was enjoyed at the Kings Head.

A couple of hours were spent looking around the shops in Holt before catching a preserved London Transport Routmaster back to the station. Another steam train ride brought us back to Sheringham where an ice cream was enjoyed on the seafront before a brief visit to the penny waterfalls in the amusement arcade before travelling back home.
