Wensleydale Wander 2010 report

There was a record turnout for the 2010 Wensleydale Wander, with 315 walking or running the routes, and only one having to drop out near the end of the 22 mile version.

The weather was ideal, with sunshine and blue sky. A wind did eventually build up on the high moor causing the refreshment tent to be taken down early to prevent it blowing away!

Andrew Lambe of Darlington was first home after running the 12 mile route in 1hr 40min. Elizabeth Crank of Bishops Stortford, was the first lady and second overall in 2hr 2min, beating Keith Bell of Leyburn and John Smith of Hartlepool into joint 3rd place, with John Hunter of Richmond
