Selling Porridge to raise funds for Mary's Meals
The second Jersey Porridge Day was a great success, raising over 4,000 pounds to help Mary's Meals feed and educate young people. A big thank you goes to all of you who helped us to raise this sum. It will provide at least 375 children with a daily meal of porridge, at their school, for one whole year.
A great start was made when His Excellency the Lieutenant-Governor of Jersey General Sir John McColl hosted a porridge breakfast at Government House. Yesterday in addition to 4 locations in St Helier, Highlands College, Georgetown Methodist Church and four schools (Grand Vaux, Plat Douet, Samares and St Luke's) joined us in this fund raising effort.
The Jersey Rotary and Inner Wheel Clubs are indebted to all of them and the many businesses that helped us achieve this. The businesses are:
Battricks, Easenmyne, Jersey Dairy, Mayfair Hotel, Mercury Distribution, Pomme d'Or Hotel, The Channel Island Cooperative Society and The General Hospital.

Jersey Porridge Day
back Jersey Porridge Day 2017 is on Tuesday the 10th of October. It is run once a year in support of Mary's Meals.
