Disaster Relief Work

Rotary Club Of Norwich Disaster Relief Involvement

Disaster Relief

The Club regularly sends Aquaboxes and Shelterboxes to areas of the world where natural disasters devastate countries.   In addition we also make a donation to Rotary Clubs in affected areas where such clubs know the immediate requirements for relief. In this way we avoid any middle men and can expedite transfer of funds directly to those in need.

A ShelterBox and its contents are show.  The contents for a particular area vary and more details may be found on the Shelterbox Website

An example of where specific aid was provided is the Boxing Day Tsunami where support for the reconstruction of a village in India was provided.
