Midsomer Norton and Radstock Rotary held its annual Youth Speaks Competition on Thursday February 4th at St Benedict's School, Midsomer Norton. This year six teams competed from three Local primary Schools. St Benedict's, Peasdown St John Primary The winning team was from St Vigors & St Johns Primary school at Chilcompton.
Their subject was One Lump or Two? The Sugar Tax, which contained descriptions of dental practices and the true effects of fizzy drinks.
The chairperson was
Georgie Dutton, with main speaker Jimmie Peters and proposer Sam Grass,
the evening was an entertaining one, with year six students from our local area
showing what talents they have, and presentations would make many adults quiver
in their shoes.
