Santa and his Sleigh

Santa accepted.our invitation to visit Dingwall and Conon Bridge pre Christmas

carousel view

He toured the streets around Dingwall and Conon Bridge, visited Strathpeffer and Ben Wyvis Primary School and paid a visit to the Dingwall nursery. He was also a major attraction at the Conon Bridge Street Lights celebrations and stayed to talk to every  child  .... and some adults too.  With cold but clear and dry weather throughout, he was able to complete all of the planned route and met many, many children during the two week stay. The event was organised by Dingwall Rotary Club members  and all donations collected have been deposited in the Club's charity account.  Although our main aim is to provide that magic moment for the little ones when Santa stops outside their own houses, we are also grateful for any donations we receive. This year you donated a little over £2000. Thank you so much. Rest assured that the money will be used  throughout the year for very many good local causes, including activities and requests from the children and young people within our area.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to both Tesco and Lidl for allowing Santa to park the sleigh in their forecourts so that we can dispense Christmas cheer to all their customer.; and especially to the children. A very special thanks to Tesco for the generous donations of chocolates that we could hand out to children as we moved around.

Santa hopes to be able to visit the area again next year in the lead up to Christmas.

See you then.     Have a prosperos and appy 2019 from the members of Dingwall Rotary Club.
