About us

The Rotary Club of Barry was formed in 1937 and is still going strong today! We have 20 members, and have been glad to welcome new faces to our Club in the last year. We meet at 6 for 6.30 PM on Thursdays at The Saint Andrews Major Golf Club in Barry. We would be very pleased to see you at a meeting!

We are involved in many activities supporting the young and old of the town, and send help overseas in time of need. At home we currently run Young Chef and Youth Speaks competitions between the schools in town, sponsor students for the Rotary Youth Leadership Award, run Kid's Out, support the Foodbank, and organise a carol concert at a Residential home each Christmas. Abroad we have a long history of sending Aquaboxes and Shelterboxes when disaster strikes.

Our major fundraising activity is the Fireworks night on Barry Island, which we have been running for 42 years! Other fundraising activities include a Duck Race and St David's Day Breakfast.

We also believe in having fun, with events such as quizzes, garden parties, and "hands-on" Club meetings when we all work together.

Please see our Facebook page below for recent activity. And if you would like to join us, click the "Contact" button above to send an Email to the secretary.
