We’re for communities
We have about 20 members and are active in our community. We're working to benefit local and international communities. With You, we could accomplish more!
We also enjoy friendship and fellowship. With You, it could be more fun!
Why not join us – or come along and find out more about us.
We raise funds through events and we have a great time and fellowship doing it. Together with Welwyn Garden City Rotary Club we organised the 2018 Charity Walk on Sunday 29 April 2018. It raised about £8000 for our own and our walkers’ local and national charities. Our 2019 Walk is on 9 June 2019.
Our Father Christmas was at the Aldenham Country Park Frost Fair from 15 - 18 November 2018. This was our major fundraiser for the year.
We give our time and are not expected to dig into our own pockets. We raise and spend over £10,000 annually.
Over recent years we have supported, amongst others
- Isabel Hospice in Welwyn Garden City
- Herts Action on Disability (HAD)
- Riding for the disabled
- Friendship house
- Our local foodbank, women’s refuge and Night Shelter
- The Willow Foundation
And many others
We are actively seeking new Members, both male and female and all ages, all walks of life and experience - only a willingness to help is needed. You only need give as much as you are able.
If you are interested in coming to see one of our meetings, please ring 07594 335673. We meet weekly at The Mercure Oak Hotel in Hatfield for a programme of speakers and fellowship.
