The Rotary Club of Colchester Trinity
Colchester's Evening Rotary Club
The Rotary Club of Colchester Trinity meets every Wednesday at the Colchester Golf Club at 7pm for 7.30pm. Our meetings commence with informal networking at the bar, followed by a two course home cooked meal and coffee at small friendly group tables.
For the final hour of three meetings during the month we are entertained by interesting speakers on a wide variety of topical subjects, including matters of lifestyle, social and charitable interests.
At one meeting we review and agree our club external activities including the organisation of our extensive social and fund raising events.
Taking part in our social events, visits, fund raising and hands-on activities ensures that being a Rotarian is not only worthwhile but also fun.
These are the ways by which we Rotarians participate fully and enjoy being members of the world wide organisation of men and women which brings happiness and help to those less fortunate than ourselves.
To find out more click on the menu on the left but in summary, our club is actively involved in work overseas in Swaziland, providing wheelchairs to disadvantaged countries, as well as local community work with student interviews, cleaning local community areas, helping local young children with reading and writing, recognising local unsung heros and sponsoring young playwrite competitions.
Our fundraising and social events include celebrity dinners, barn dances, sea shanties, casino nights, golf days, charity races, international visits, participative sporting events and social lunches.
We are a lively club and president for this year, Terry Youngs together with all the members will be pleased to welcome visiting Rotarians and members of the public who are interested in knowing more about our work. Please contact our secretary John Williams on 07802 216193.
Be part of a global network of volunteers, trying to make the world a better place. Please also see the 'links & news' page for information from the local district and live feeds from Rotary International and Rotary International in GB&I.
