About us

Welcome to the Rotary Club of Farnham

We are club no. 166 chartered in 1924. We have 29 members (plus 6 honorary members) who live in the Farnham area.  We  meet each Thursday at lunchtime in The Bush Hotel, Farnham and we usually have a speaker at three of our meetings every month. The club is part of Rotary International and its main activity is to serve the community by running local events, supporting other organisations and raising funds for local charities and specific international projects or situations. We operate our own charity, the Rotary Club of Farnham Benevolent Fund (Reg no. 200435), which we use as the means of channelling our funds to the other charities and good causes we identify. If you are a Rotarian visiting the area you will be made welcome at one of our meetings.  If you are interested in joining Rotary, please contact our President for further information (president@rotaryfarnham.co.uk)

Club Meetings

Lunch Meetings at the Bush Hotel need to be reserved in good time.  The system of booking your lunch is described on a page accessed by clicking here.

 Club Newsletters

Most months our club publishes a newsletter summarising some of our activities. These can be accessed by clicking here.

Charities

From fundraising during 2021 to June 2022 the club has been able to donate to relief in Aghanistan (£3000) and Ukraine (over £6000). In total the club has made donations and grants of over £28,000 in the year to June 2022, approximately half going to local charities and causes. These funds were raised through members' voluntary donations and fundraising activities.

Single Use Plastics

Our club is hoping to reduce single use plastics -- read the article displayed by clicking What we do above.
