'The Civic Mayor of Tameside, Councillor John B Sullivan JP, GNSM,LTCL invited President Philip Bennison and friends to an informal evening at the Mayor's Palour at Ashton under Lyne Town Hall. Members of Hyde Rotary Club, the President of Dukinfield Rotary Club together with representatives of St. Thomas' and St. Stephen's Parishes were invited by President Philip to accompany him. A very informative and enjoyable evening was spent with the Civic Mayor and Mayoress, Mrs Francoise Sullivan.(see photo gallery)

South Africa - Support Reading Scheme

We have recently purchased 350 books for use by the GoGO grannies reading scheme as it is affectionately known. A group of "Gogos" visit different schools, taking books with them, and read to the children - sometimes this is the first time that the children have had the experience of listening to and reading stories.
