Welcome to the website of the Rotary Club of Coventry Phoenix

Coventry Phoenix Rotary Club was founded in 1986. Lorna Beedham, a member of the club will be District Governor of District 1060 for 2009/10 and our founder President, Peter Isherwood, was District Governor in 1986/87.

We are one of five Rotary Clubs and a Rotaract club in the city of Coventry. Like all Rotary Clubs we seek to make a difference to communities locally, nationally and internationally.

The clubs main targets for support this year are "Zoes Place" (a planned new baby hospice), The Jubilee Sailing Trust,Air Ambulance, Kids out and Shelter Boxes. One of our greatest recent achievements is the building of a Jaipur Limb Centre in India in 2006 in memory of our member, Vinod Patel who raised the majority of the money for the project.  We are twinned with a Rotary Club in Duiven, Holland which means that annually we meet up for a great time of fellowship and fun. We work with the other clubs in Coventry to engage secondary schools in the Young Innovators Competition.

The club prides itself on the way in which we enjoy our fundraising through locally based activities such as skittles evenings.  A popular activity taking place at the moment is a series of courses on basic and advanced Indian Cookery run by incoming President Kala Patel.

The club has 27 members and continues to grow. We offer a warm, friendly welcome to all visitors.
