Privacy and Accessibility

Every effort has been made to ensure that the original template pages for this site are W3C compatible.

However, as the content of pages is supplied by the club, such content may not be compatible.

Cookies:

We do not use cookies on this site to identify individuals, other than when a member logs into the members area. These are 'Session Cookies' which are destroyed when a member logs out of the site or closes the browser window - they are not stored long term on the user's computer. These are used so that a member can only log into his/her club etc.

We use Google Analytics to make sure our statistics are reliable.

Google Analytics stores information about what pages you visit, how long you are on the site, how you got here and what you click on. We do not collect or store your personal information (e.g. your name or address) so this information cannot be used to identify who you are.

We have some pages that link to external tools such as Google Maps and YouTube. These tools sit on Google’s web servers and you can find more information on Google's Privacy Policy here.

Some pages may have cookies used to integrate with Social Media sites, so that, for example, if you are logged into Facebook, you can 'like' pages.

We do not collect personal data in the public area of the site - if you complete a contact form, for example, your email address is not stored in a database for re-use, nor is any information passed to third parties.

PRIVACY INFORMATION SPECIFIC TO THE ROTARY CLUB OF BRADFORD BLAIZE

RELATING TO EVERYBODY: -

TRUST FUNDOur charitable Trust Fund uses your address and other information you provide to administer your donations, including processing Gift Aid.

RETAINING INFORMATION - Gift Aid information must be kept indefinitely, information pertaining to the Club’s finances must be kept for a minimum of 7 years.

RELATING TO MEMBERS OF BRAFORD BLAIZE: -

THE CLUB WEBSITE - This holds a database of all the Rotarians in our Club and forms a part of a complete District 1040 and RIBI membership database. In turn, it provides limited information to the RI Global membership database in the US. It is secure and it fully complies with the GDPR. It is there simply to facilitate Rotarian business, mainly communication between us, your details will never be disclosed to a third party (outside Rotary) without your explicit consent. You, and only you, have full access to your details (includes site administrators) - it is therefore in your own interests to ensure that such details are correct and that you are happy for them to be widely available. You are able to withhold some information should you wish and equally you can elect from whom and where you receive communications (Emails).  Personal information such as that kept on the website will be kept until you leave Rotary when it will all be deleted other than your name.

IMPORTANT - Just to be clear. It is not optional for your details to be held on the website, they are needed to show that you are a fully paid-up Rotarian. It will also mean that other members in District 1040 and officers of RIBI can use the information to contact you. We currently ask you for the name of your partner or spouse for hopefully, obvious reasons. Simply, that it's common courtesy to address them by name whenever we meet or perhaps when we call you. However, there is a presumption here, that being, they don't mind - but, they might? You must make sure before you add their name! If you answer NO we will remove their name from the website and handbook.

HANDBOOK - We produce a printed Handbook each year for the use of our members, this also comes under the GDPR. The information used is gained from the data on the website.

AUTHORISED USE OF THE HANDBOOK Rotarians should not use this Directory in whole or in part as a commercial mailing list or make it possible for anyone else to do so. To prevent misuse of previous editions please destroy them.
